Equipment

  • Stock Pot

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 box spaghetti
  • 1 12 oz can mushroom
  • 1 ½ tablespoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • parmesan cheese to taste
  • parsley as garnish

Instructions

  • Melt butter in the stock pot.
  • Add chopped garlic to the melted butter and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the milk, water, pasta, salt, pepper, and mushrooms to the stock pot.
  • Bring the liquid to a boil and immediately reduce the heat to low. Cook on low for 15 minutes for al dente pasta and 20 minutes for softer pasta.
  • Garnish with parmesan cheese, cayenne pepper, and parsley as desired.

Notes

Do not forget to turn the heat to low as soon as the liquid comes to a boil. This recipe does not require the pasta or any ingredient to be boiled for longer than a few seconds.
If you are making this recipe ahead of time and it cools off, add ¼ cup of milk to it before reheating.
