Ingredients

  • 5 cups sliced apples use a variety for best results
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon passover baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg lightly scrambled

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  • Slice each apple into approximately 16 slices. Place the sliced apples into the baking dish.
  • Toss the apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the almond flour, white sugar, passover baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the egg into the dry mixture and mix by hand until it is fully incorporated and the mixture looks crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the crumble over the fruit in the baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Cool for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Pro Tips

  • There will be some liquid on the bottom of the Apple Crisp. Use that as a sauce to spoon over the top of each portion when serving.
  • If you are going to slice the apples and come back to finish the recipe later, squirt a little lemon juice onto the apples to keep them from browning.
